I recieved the X3 head set as a gift for Christmas. I am running an LCD TV so I did not have any problems with the hiss that plasma users have experienced. I find the overall sound of the headset acceptable and enjoy being able to turn down the game sound as well as turn up the xboxlive chatter when needed. For games like COD4 and CODWAW I do turn the bass boost off as it helps with sound overload. I also use the headset to watch movies and TV with which works really well. Never knew how much sound you lose listening through the TV speakers.
The only problem I have had with the headset if that the power button does not work. I have to manually take out the batteries to power the headset off and put them back into power the headset back on. A pain but not a huge issue overall.
