This is the third Turtle Creek headset we have purchased for use with our Xbox. It is also the cheapest of them all. The first was a wireless one and was wonderful while it lasted. Then, one day, 6 months or so after paying for it, the microphone stopped working. We replaced it with a corded version that was half the price. This one worked well for about a year but during that time I had to buy replacement pieces for the part that plugs into the controller which then added to the cost. That set too, finally just died out. So, onto this new version, also corded. Had it about 4 weeks and already it is showing signs of needing replacement pieces, the mic goes in and out unless you sit very still so as not to disrupt the connection. The kids swear this is the best brand out there in terms of comfort, clarity, loudness and hearing the game sounds over the earphones (which keeps it quiet in the rest of the house) but I think they need to either perfect their product or reduce their prices since they seem to have continual issues that require additional money and eventually replacement. In 2 years since we got the xbox, we have spent over 0 on headsets.
