1st of all, the ratio of good reviews to bad ones(as of the time I'm writing this) is roughly 5:1 in favor of the product. I live in a condo and even though I paid to have it sound-proofed, it still won't cover up the 00 Paradigm surround sound system I wanted to purchase. That being the case, I finally(after friends raved about these) broke down and "settled"(or so I thought) for these. After all, Amazon had them for bucks less than everyone else right? I was afraid there'd be problems w/ the wireless situation due to some of the bad reviews. I have it right next to my Apple Time Capsule wireless-N router and have had NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. I've even had my laptop open and on the net right next to me while I'm playing w/o a hitch. I also have a microwave and cordless phone(5.8ghz) within 30' of it. I've tested it for several hours now and it works flawlessly. No static, popping, or echos, etc. It's a little unforgiving performance-wise when batteries get low(not just on the headset, when the 360's controller batteries got low as well). When the batteries on some things get low you can usually "squeeze" a little more time out of them. Not these. Your game controller must have FULL batteries or you'll get a little static(nothing to do w/ your wireless network of course). Most (NOT ALL)of the people having problems w/ these have inherent problems w/ their wireless networks already anyway. Some people just have problems w/ wireless networks at their residence for various reasons(too many computers hooked up to their wireless network w/ too slow internet speeds, other products like cordless phones, microwaves, etc. causing interference). It does say in the instructions if you have a wireless N router to switch it off N to a different band, but I didn't have to do anything. The best feature this product has is the distinct volume controls. You have the game volume and a separate one for chat. It also has a chat boost which AUTOMATICALLY raises the chat volume when the game volume raises(explosions, etc.)! You have to adjust nothing. The best way to set this is turn the game volume all the way down AT FIRST ONLY, then raise the chat volume to your preferred setting. Slowly turn the game volume back up to your desired setting and you're set. The surround dynamics have accurate sound placement and are crystal clear. It will(probably) improve your kill/death ratio a little on games like Modern Warfare 2. I play strictly hardcore team deathmatch, and I my k/d ratio was stuck on 1.57 forever. 2 days w/ the X41's, and I'm up to 1.60 already! I had serious doubts about the recommendations my friends gave me about these, but I couldn't be more satisfied w/ this product!!!

The X41 is the third generation of wireless headsets from Turtle Beach for the Xbox 360. The X41 combines XBOX live chat with wireless game sound so you can hear the game sound and the voices of other players in the headset.
