This is the first gaming headset Ive bought, and Im not an audiophile. I just wanted some great sound for when I play xbox 360. Considering that I dont have surround sound hooked up to my 46" Sony Bravia, this was the best option in my budget. And it was well worth it!
The headset is almost as good as having real surround sound. Granted,the bass does not have a separate control, and at times can be a bit much - but this is very minor complaint. With the headset I can hear a lot more than I could without them - and important in games: which direction the noise is coming from.
The headset is also very comfortable. Its worth pointing out that the earpieces do not rest ON your ears, but rather AROUND them. Your ears won't get red and hot from the pressure of them, but if you wear them for a couple hours the lack of fresh air will make your ears a bit warm (this really isnt a complaint at all).
The 18' cord is more than adequate, and has not been inconvenient for me in any way.
Overall, I found this to be an excellent purchase that is well worth the extra money over a cheap headset, and great for those not wishing to buy the truly expensive ones. I highly recommend this product.
