I've been using the same headset for about 3 years now and it has never let me down. Sound quality is good, it's fairly comfortable if you like this type of headset, and as I said, it is reliable and durable. Although the mic is not a boom-style mic (with the black padding around the mic) it still picks up voice clearly and without much interference. I have never once gotten a complaint about my voice being hard to understand due to the mic. That said, the mic does tend to be fairly sensitive, so if there is a lot of background noise in your area, it may be transmitted through the headset. The mute switch and volume control work just like any other basic Xbox Live headset, and they do their job. I give this product 4 stars because while this is a good set that will last the life of your Xbox, there are similar products for less money out there, so do your research. You can rest assured however that this headset won't die anytime soon.
